Pork fat rules! Enough of that sissy oil.

  1. Or beef fat. Makes good chips. Cooking oil, as a term, is too generic. I'll buy sunflower, or olive oil, but rapeseed? corn oil? get real!

    My pal who lives up in Scotland visited recently. He works for a company involved in the offshore oil industry, but his car? Oh yes, his six-cylinder mercedes runs on used deep-fat fryer oil.
    (pork fat's a bit too acidic for diesel engines)

    1. Beef fat is good for something? It gives flavor to the steak, but I wouldn't want to cook anything in it. Perhaps this is only a regional prejudice. :) Olive oil is the only oil I can abide. Not for deep frying but for abiding.

      As you say, used cooking oil is great for green engines. Ed Begley, Jr. is one in the news from time to time. I even found a recipe for making the fuel online once. You have to add something unpleasant to it to make it go bang in your car. I forget what. Probably petrol. :) I am a lover, not a chemist.

  2. Oh. And when I drink from a bottle, I try not to pour the contents all over my face. It's clear she's 'intellectually challenged' and should be in an institution, to protect her from herself.
